Avanti Blonde Roast
Made in: Haiti
Artisan Group: Avanti
Premium, low-acidic beans boasting with honey and nutty undertones and a smooth finish.
The light, honey flavor of this blonde roast earned it the name Cheri, which means "darling" in Haitian Creole. Haiti Cheri, or "Haiti, my darling" is a famous nickname of adoration for a land with breathtaking landscapes and beautiful people.
Mallery's (Avanti's founder) Recommendation: "Over ice, this light roast reminds me of my grandma's peanut brittle. It's my absolute favorite cup of coffee!"
When coffee is grown above the clouds, it tastes even more like a sip of heaven. Avanti coffee beans are grown at altitudes averaging 1,500m above sea level. These high altitudes produce premium coffee beans due to their low oxygen rates which allow each bean to have a slower, more flavorful growing process. High altitudes also greatly reduce the need for pesticides, allowing for all-organic farming methods from start to finish.
Avanti coffee has low acidity and is made of 100% Arabica beans. The majority of the beans are sourced from Typica or Blue Mountain trees. Flavors native to Haiti are found in the notes and undertones of our beans like rich vanilla, bold nuts, sweet citrus, and floral hibiscus.
We say you can smell, taste, and feel the difference, but what does that mean? Let’s break it down:
Smell: This freshly roasted coffee is so fragrant! Many times customers comment on how delicious their box smells when they open their order. Just a little puff of the bag will send your sense of smell into heaven!
Taste: Avanti is full of flavor without being acidic. FMSC MarketPlace partner Gift of Hope attributes the incredible taste to Haiti’s high elevations, the farmer’s tender loving care, their organic farming practices, their roaster’s incredible skills, and the blessing of God!
Feel: Because they are a small batch, specialty coffee brand, your coffee will be freshly roasted, every order. This allows you to consume it at its peak flavor and caffeine content. Avanti gives you an extra kick in your step! It also makes you feel good to know that you started your day protecting farming families and their villages. Way to go!
