Story of Hope: Carmen and Teresa | Guatemala
Feeding kids | Feeding spirits | Empowering communities
Teresa*, 90 years old and blind, lives with her daughter, Carmen*, in a rural village in Guatemala. Isolated by a nearly impassable road, they felt forgotten for years. Carmen has taken full responsibility for her mother’s care, as Teresa’s health has declined and she can no longer manage daily tasks. Left alone when Carmen’s son and brother moved away to find work, they’ve faced many hardships. However, receiving MannaPack® meals has been a lifeline for them. The nutritious food has brought strength and hope back into their lives, reminding them that they are not forgotten.
