Meet the artisans who make these baskets!

These hand made baskets are created from pine needles! For many generations, Nicaraguan artisans have continued the traditional art of weaving long needles together which have been gathered from the forest floor. Several of the women artisans making these baskets have children who eat FMSC meals in the schools they attend. 

Not only does your purchase of a pine needle basket provide an income for these wonderful artisans and their families, it also provides additional meals for children in need around the world.
