Recycled Billboard Billfold

International Care Ministries (ICM) serves the poorest of the poor within slum communities in the Philippines. Nearly 200 Filipino staff are employed by ICM. Staff members are able to better serve those in need since many come from similar environments and backgrounds. ICM’s great work is also supported by FMSC food – we have provided over 5 million meals within the last year!

Red Rope is one example of the amazing programs ICM support. Red Rope allows a group of women who have left a life of prostitution to make a livelihood for themselves by hand-sewing various items. They are able to produce high quality products including cushion covers, table runners, and quilts. The women are incredibly resourceful. They even make beautiful accessories from recycled billboards! FMSC is proud to support the women of Red Rope by purchasing some of the handmade items to sell at the FMSC MarketPlace.
