Founded in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, new FMSC MarketPlace™ partner Gift of Hope is changing lives through stable income, discipleship, education and the investment of relationships. In Haiti, where jobs are few and poverty rates are high, employment can mean the difference between raising your own children or needing to place them in an orphanage because you simply cannot feed them or keep a roof over your heads. Gift of Hope was created to provide dignified jobs for moms in poverty, so they won’t need to face such a heartbreaking decision.
At Gift of Hope, it’s important that employees not only earn a living wage, but also have a safe work environment; a place where they can grow deeper in their relationships with others and with the Lord; a place that is more than a job, but also a family.

Wideline
Wideline is the head seamstress at Gift of Hope. Her smile can light up any room and she is always up for a challenge when working on new prototypes.
“I thank God for the opportunity I have to work at Gift of Hope. I have learned a lot from this job. At first it was difficult for me, but now I can manage the sewing and know when something is good or not. This job has helped me so much.”
Riznande
Riznande is one of Gift of Hope's most talented seamstresses. She is deaf and struggled to find opportunities for work. She is able to raise her daughter as a single mother through the income she earns.

Marie Lissa
This is Marie Lissa. She works as a jewelry artisan at Gift of Hope. She is full of strength, joy, laughter, and sass. Her bracelet was made by her own hands and empowers her to care and provide for her family.
