NicaHope is a program within FMSC's Partner Organization: Fabretto in Managua, Nicaragua. Information about the jewelry/art program is included with each item. This cross was created by girls and boys ages 14 and up who choose to be a part of an after school program rather than going out on the streets where they might find trouble or look for another job such as gathering garbage in Le Churecha - the largest garbage dump in Latin America. At NicaHope - students, as well single mothers who have children eating FMSC food at Fabretto schools, are able to make a good income by creating the beautiful pieces of jewelry and other items made from materials available in the Nicaraguan Marketplace.
Note: The wire and stone crosses made by Fabretto are all individually made and come in unique colors. We are unable to specify your color in advance.
