We are grateful at FMSC to partner with a wonderful organization in El Salvador named FUSAL. This particular food partner of FMSC’s is located in San Salvador, El Salvador and supports five large communities: Santa Ana, Ataco, Apaneca, Guaymango, San Julian and Tomacatepeque. FUSAL focuses on health and education to promote sustainability in rural communities.
One of the many programs FUSAL offers is jewelry making. Both men and women in the community are encouraged to participate. The artisans are incredibly resourceful. These necklaces are made from coffee beans! They smell fantastic and are a great gift for the coffee lover in your life!
The artisans are able to take pride in their work and support themselves and their families with the income generated from jewelry sales. Yessina, one of the women in the jewelry program, is able to support herself and her son from the income she receives from selling her jewelry. She is one of the many reasons FMSC is thankful to partner with FUSAL in El Salvador!
